Police uncover AK-47, 60 rounds of ammo during domestic disturbance call

Police in Orange responding to a report of a domestic disturbance uncovered a AK-47 assault rifle, along with two magazines and 60 rounds of 7.62 ammo.
The incident happened back on April 25 on the 300 block of Park Avenue when police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a firearm and a child. 
According to police, a 26-year-old man attempted to get away, but he was quickly apprehended in a nearby yard and arrested.
Police found the rifle and ammo in the residence.
Police also found a second firearm loaded with 9mm ballpoint ammo.

The suspect was charged with aggravated assault and criminal mischief, among other charges.
