Newark officials test senior complex for possible Legionnaires'

City health officials are investigating a possible Legionnaires' disease outbreak at a senior citizen complex in Newark.
They are testing the Nevada Court building's supply following three cases of Legionnaires' disease in the building since December.
The city is currently testing the water and cooling systems to determine where the bacteria may have originated.
The mayor and health director are also meeting with residents to find ways to prevent the disease.
