Police say a man from North Bergen is in custody after masturbating in front of a woman as she sat in her car.

Police received the call Saturday around 5 p.m. in the area of 6th Street and Division Avenue in Carlstadt.

According to the caller, the man exposed himself to the woman while masturbating as she was sitting in her car.

Police say a day later, around 8 a.m., they received reports of a similar man ringing doorbells in the area of 10th Street and Division Avenue.

Officers responded to the area and located Bobby Ortiz, 30.

Police brought him in for questioning, where they say the woman identified him.

Ortiz was charged with one count of lewdness, among other charges.

Ortiz will appear in court later this month.
