NEWARK -

Health officials in Newark are looking into a possible outbreak of legionnaire’s disease at a senior citizen complex.

The building is located on Nevada Court.

City officials are testing the building's water supply.

Legionnaires is a type of pneumonia spread by breathing contaminated water droplets.

The disease can cause fever, chills, muscle aches, and a cough.

Senior citizens are particularly at risk because of their compromised immune systems.

It is not clear how many seniors may have been exposed.
