LIRR parking lot in Westbury closes for construction

The north parking lot is closing for construction of a new four-story garage.

Starting today, parking will be more difficult at the Westbury train station.

The north parking lot is closing for construction of a new four-story garage.

The garage will eventually increase parking capacity by 60 percent.

In the meantime, the south lot at Westbury will be open, but only to resident permit holders.

If you don't have a permit, you can park in a special lot at the former Source Mall.

A free bus shuttle will take you to the station.

The parking changes are expected to be in effect into 2021.
