WATCH: Utility worker escapes injury as power line catches fire

Posted: Updated:
MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP -

Unbelievable video captured during Monday’s severe weather in Manchester Township shows a utility worker handling a power line he thought was de-energized – but it was not.

The power line caught fire when it hit the ground.

Fortunately, the worker was not injured.

A transformer in Manchester also started sparking as police were directing traffic on State Highway 70.

The high winds knocked many power lines and traffic signals in the area.

Nobody was hurt in that instance either.
