A 23-year-old woman is facing charges after she was involved in a fiery crash in Hudson County.
Authorities say that the crash happened around midnight on Belleville Turnpike near Argyle Place in Kearny.
Police say that the driver, whose name has not been released, crashed into a metal pole, which took down two telephone poles and wires. The crash also caused a water main break in the area. The crash was so severe that the engine came out of the body of the car, which also caught on fire. Good Samaritans were able to pull the driver out before emergency crews arrived.
Electricity and water service were cut off for many residents and businesses following the crash.
The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. She was charged with reckless driving and could potentially face additional charges, according to police.
