Funeral services held for slain college student from Robbinsville

Funeral services were held Wednesday for a University of South Carolina student from Robbinsville.

Friends and family members of 21-year-old Samantha Josephson gathered at Congregation Beth Haim in Princeton Junction to remember her life and mourn her death.

South Carolina authorities say that Josephson was killed by Nathaniel Rowland after she got into his car that she mistakenly thought was her Uber. Rowland allegedly stabbed Josephson and dumped her body 70 miles away from where she was taken.

Josephson’s family is now calling for legislation to make for-hire vehicles more identifiable.
