Hundreds of jobs coming: Stew Leonard's to open first New Jersey grocery store

Stew Leonard's will open its first ever Garden State grocery store in Paramus Park Mall this fall.
The groundbreaking is set for Friday, and the move will create more than 350 jobs.
The store will occupy an 80,000 square foot anchor position in the mall that had previously been a Sears.
The company's signature animatronic characters will perform for shoppers and will source local produce and dairy from farmers in New Jersey and the tri-state area.
Stew Leonard's already operates three independently owned wine stores in Clifton, Paramus and Springfield.
