According to police, the 62-year-old victim was driving when he was cut off and forced to stop by a dark colored sedan.

Police: New Hyde Park shooting victim was targeted
Police say a New Hyde Park man who was shot was targeted.
According to police, the 62-year-old victim was driving when he was cut off and forced to stop by a dark colored sedan.
The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. Monday on Executive Drive near Old Courthouse Road.
Police say a man got out of the passenger side of the dark car and fired several shots into the victim's car.
The victim was hit twice. He drove himself to the hospital and was treated for gunshot wounds to his arm and hand.
Detectives believe the shooting was targeted.
