Police: Driver was drinking when he caused six-car crash; 2 hospitalized

A driver has been issued multiple summonses, including driving under the influence, after causing a six-car crash in Lakewood.
The accident happened Wednesday around 5:10 p.m. on Cedarbridge Avenue, near the north entrance to the parkway.
According to police, Patrice Edouard, 31, of Asbury Park, was driving with a suspended license, and was drinking, when he caused the crash.
Police say six vehicles were involved in the crash, and all but one sustained "major damage.”
Two people were taken to the hospital.
Edouard was issued multiple summonses, including driving under the influence.
