Verizon Wireless outage left many in New Jersey unable to text

Technical issues at Verizon Wireless left many New Jerseyans unable to send text messages Tuesday morning.

The company said that the outage was impacting customers mostly along the East Coast.

“We experienced an issue impacting texting services for some customers this morning. Our engineers were able to identify and resolve the issue quickly. Service is now fully restored,” a spokesperson for Verizon said in a statement.

Many customers took to Twitter Tuesday to express their frustration and concern about the outage.

The outage was resolved by around 10 a.m.

It was not clear what issues led to the outage.
