Authorities say a crash on a slushy road in Monroe Township killed two Philadelphia residents and critically injured a third person.
The crash happened Sunday around 5:30 p.m.
According to the Monroe Township police department in Gloucester County, a car heading west on Black Horse Pike near the Star Motel "lost control on the slushy pavement," crossed the center line and was hit by another car.
Police said the crash caused "massive damage to both vehicles."
Both occupants of the first car, Agnes Demarco, 68, of Philadelphia, and Daniel McLaughlin, 55, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, a 54-year-old Collings Lakes man, was taken to a trauma center with critical injuries.
AP wire services helped contribute to this report.
