Student injured when school bus, garbage truck collide

(AP) - Authorities say a crash involving a school bus and a garbage truck has left a 13-year-old boy injured.

Seaside Heights police say the bus was carrying 14 students when the crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday. The bus was stopped at a red light when the truck struck its rear bumper on the passenger side.

The injured student was treated at a hospital for an undisclosed minor injury. But his name and further details on his condition were not disclosed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
