Williamsburg museum celebrates the 'everyday New Yorker'

A museum in Brooklyn is providing snapshots into the everyday lives of New Yorkers.
The City Reliquary Museum in Williamsburg showcases things that have slipped through the cracks in New York City's history.
Assistant Director Beth Haines tells News 12 that many of the collections are to spark New Yorkers' memories about the everyday hero.
"We're asking people to think about the coffee car vendor that they encounter. The street sweepers the regular people that keep the city moving and keep it operating," says Haines.
Haines says many of the items at the museum celebrate every day, neighborhood people.
"This is an example of the kind of community collection we celebrate. This particular person collects vintage confetti," says Haines.
