3 displaced as fire damages Sea Bright condo building

A three-alarm fire has severely damaged two units at a Jersey Shore condo complex.
The fire broke out Friday evening at the Waterways Condos on Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to two units between the second and third floors belonging to a couple and another individual.
News 12 New Jersey is told that no one was home at the time of the fire. Firefighters did, however, rescue a dog inside one of the condos.
Mayor Dina Long says the community is thankful to the Sea Bright firefighters as well as the additional aid called to the scene for containing the fire in dangerous conditions.

Pictures posted on social media showed large flames blowing in the wind.
One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
Ocean Avenue was closed for a time in the area.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
