Busted! Mechanics caught taking joy ride in expensive Mustang

A Union City man says he is furious that mechanics from a Hudson County Ford dealership took his beloved, expensive Mustang out on a joy ride.
Suhail Sood, 30, says that he took his Mustang GT to the Ford dealership in Jersey City to get some work done. He says that the mechanics said that they needed to take it out for a test drive, but did not know that Sood had installed a dash-camera inside.
“I was very furious, I’m not gonna lie, because it’s a dream car,” says Sood. “Suddenly you own it and someone else decides to trash it.”
The video shows the workers cruising around Jersey City for at least 15 minutes, returning to the dealership, and then going back out again. At one point the driver was traveling at 75 mph through the streets of Jersey City. The whole ordeal was caught on camera.
“I was suspicious and not just while I was waiting at the dealership. I was constantly monitoring my car with Wi-Fi,” says Sood.
The manager told Sood that he could get a refund for the work done on the car – about $400. But Sood said that he couldn’t trust the dealership anymore and wanted another mechanic to take a look at the car.
Sood sent the Ford dealership a list of demands and said that he would post the video on social media if he had to.
“Then we were both unhappy and [the manager] raised his voice and said, ‘Prove it.’ I said, ‘Fine, I’ll prove it,’ and we hung up,” says Sood.
Ford officials tell News 12 New Jersey that three employees have been fired due to the incident.
They say that they were always ready to give Sood a refund, but that his list of demands went too far. The head of the dealership would not agree to an on-camera interview but tells News 12 that he would be willing to work with Sood to find a compromise.
Sood says that he would also be willing.
