HAMILTON -

Police in Hamilton are searching for the woman they say stole donations intended for the Special Olympics.

The incident happened back on Jan. 4 at the Wawa on 3800 Quakerbridge Road.

According to police, the woman used a plastic utensil to ‘fish’ the cash out of the donation jar that was placed at the front sales counter.

It's not clear how much money she took.

The suspect is being described as a 40-year-old white or Hispanic female, around 5 feet 3 inches tall, with dark black hair.

She was last seen wearing a striped shirt and overcoat with a dark colored scarf.
