Atlantic Health System joins effort to help federal works during the shutdown

Atlantic Health System is the latest New Jersey business to offer assistance to federal employees who are not receiving their pay during the government shutdown.
The medical facility announced Wednesday that co-pays for federal worker will be waived for the duration of the shutdown for any employee who needs to visit the doctor.
But that’s not all Atlantic Health System is doing to help federal workers.
The organization held a job fair Thursday at its corporate headquarters located at 475 South St. in Morristown. A variety of jobs were available. Another job fair will be held Jan. 31.
Atlantic Health will also hold a systemwide food drive benefiting local food banks.
Many furloughed workers have had to go to food banks in the month since the shutdown to supplement their income.
