Officials: At least 7 dead following vicious winter storm

NEW YORK -

Officials say the large winter storm this past weekend turned deadly in several states, bringing the death toll up to seven.

According to police, a 70-year-old man in upstate New York and a Michigan school district employee both died from heart attacks while shoveling snow.

In Chicago, a 12-year-old girl died after a snow fort collapsed on her while she was playing outside a church.

A utility worker in Connecticut was hit by a falling tree as he was repairing a power line.
