A Lumberton woman is facing charges after she allegedly rolled over onto her baby, killing him, while taking heroin.

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office says that Antoinette King, 33, overdosed on the drug and rolled over her 13-month-old son Jerimiah. King was found passed out Saturday evening and was on top of the boy.

Emergency responders were able to revive King using Narcan, but they say that it was too late to revive the baby.

Neighbors say that the death was a tragedy.

“He was a premature baby. So he went through a heck of…going through all that turmoil with the prematurity and now he’s not here anymore,” says neighbor Lynn Ingram.

King was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She is being held at the Atlantic County Jail.
