The weekend's rain and wet weather has caused freezing concerns in Soundview
As temperatures drop Sunday, large puddles could freeze and turn to ice.
Even though temperatures will continue to drop, residents say they are just relieved that the heavy snow missed the area.
On Saturday the city said it planned on dispatching 695 salt spreaders and plows throughout the five boroughs for possible snow. The mayor's office says despite the changing forecast, they know storms can change quickly and they remain on alert with plows and spreaders ready.
There was an overturned car around 11:30 a.m. this morning in the area, and the NYPD and FDNY were on the scene. It is not known if the accident was weather-related, but some people in the area told News 12 the driver fled the scene.
