Toyota recalls around 1.3 million vehicles over Takata airbags

Toyota has recalled roughly 1.3 million cars and SUVs in the U.S. as part of the latest recall involving Takata front passenger airbag inflators.

Toyota has recalled roughly 1.3 million cars and SUVs in the U.S. as part of the latest recall involving Takata front passenger airbag inflators.
The recall includes 12 Toyota and Lexus models:
4Runner (2010 through 2016)
Corolla (2010 through 2013)
Matrix (2010 through 2013)
Sienna (2011 through 2014)
ES 350 (2010 through 2012)
GX 460 (2010 through 2017)
IS 250C (2010 through 2015)
IS 350C (2010 through 2015)
IS 250 (2010 through 2013)
IS 350 (2010 through 2013)
IS-F (2010 through 2014)
The affected airbags were made with ammonium nitrate that could explode when the bag deploys.
Toyota sent a letter to owners who may be affected by the recall.

The Takata airbag recall has affected virtually all major automakers.
