A candlelight vigil was held Saturday for four men who died in a crash on the Garden State Parkway the day after Christmas.
Mourners gathered at the John Patrick Sports Complex in Lakewood for the vigil that honored aspiring police officer Victor Lugo, 24, U.S. Marine Robert Ordenana, 23, and brothers Kevin and Jimmy Quispe-Prieto, ages 21 and 23.
The four tight-knit friends were killed when the car they were riding in crashed into the back of an oil tanker on the Garden State Parkway near Toms River.
The crash remains under investigation.
State police say this car accident was the deadliest accident in New Jersey in 2018.
