Man charged after police seize $1 million in marijuana

A man from Essex County has been charged after police seized roughly 400 pounds of marijuana from him, prosecutors announced.

Dave Eliassaint, 30, was arrested last week after a crate containing 380 pounds of the drugs was delivered to him from Kearny.

According to investigators, they found him after he signed the shipping receipt for the crate.

Police also seized 20 pounds of marijuana vape cartridges with liquid THC, and scales.

Eliassaint has been charged with possession, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and marijuana wax, among other charges.

The merchandize was valued at $1 million.
