Have another drink!
A new study claims that people who drink alcohol and coffee live longer than people who don’t.
The “90+ Study” by the UC Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders found that people who drank moderate amounts of alcohol or coffee lived longer than those who abstained. The study also found that people who were overweight in their 70s lived longer than average or underweight people did.
But anyone who plans to spend their nights drinking nothing but tequila should use caution.
"We're not talking about getting drunk every night. Moderate, one or two glasses of wine, maybe a little bit more, and a little bit of coffee,” says News 12 New Jersey’s Dr. Derrick DeSilva.
Researchers at the “90+ Study” say that they are always looking for new participants who are 90 years old or older.
More information about the study can be found at the institute’s website.
