Police say a man wanted in connection with three armed gas station robberies in Suffolk County stabbed a clerk in his latest holdup.
Police say the first robbery occurred just after 11 p.m. on Nov. 4 at the Sunoco station on Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park.
Two more happened in December. Police say targeted gas stations include the Sunoco on Wheeler Road in Hauppauge and the Conoco on Middle Country Road in Lake Grove.
In the Lake Grove incident, surveillance video shows the suspect stabbing the clerk several times before taking off with $1,600 in cash. News 12 is told the clerk suffered minor cuts and will be OK.
Police describe the suspect as a black man in his mid-30s or 40s who walks with a limp.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
