A Piscataway police officer who has fought to keep communities safe is now in the fight of her own life.

Dozens of Piscataway officers came together to put on a performance to raise the spirits of Julia Caseres.

Caseres was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in April and has been on medical leave ever since.

Her fellow officers put down their badges, picked up sheet music and belted out some holiday songs in Caseres' honor.

Caseres said the performance made her feel very loved.
