A new study could determine where the next ferry stop will be in the Bronx.

News 12 headed over to City Island, Orchard Beach and Pelham Parkway to see if they're hoping it's their time.

The ferry service already changed the lives of residents around Soundview and Clason Point, when NYC Ferry service expanded to the borough in August.  The route makes stops all the way down to Wall Street.

In the 2013 Economic Development Corporation's citywide ferry study, City Island and Orchard Beach were on an original list of priority sites.  The group says its 2018 study of potential ferry stops will be released in upcoming months.

The City Island Civic Association president, along with others on the island, say they would definitely take advantage of a ferry, but an actual stop on the island would cause major congestion, especially in the summer. They say Orchard Beach has the parking.
