Former Yankees catcher Rick Cerone donates Hess truck toys to sick kids

Former Yankees catcher Rick Cerone helped bring about some holiday cheer when he visited patients at Unterberg Children's Hospital in Long Branch Tuesday.
Cerone brought special holiday Hess truck toys for the children.
“Hess has always been a great sponsor of the Yankees and when I owned the Newark Bears they were the first guys to support me and you don’t forget that,” Cerone said. “To do anything that helps some kids close to my neighborhood is great.”
Among the patients that Cerone met was 5-year-old Ashton, who is recovering from knee surgery.
Cerone lives just a few blocks away from the hospital and says he's already looking forward to next year's Hess truck delivery.
