The Wall Street Journal reports that President Donald Trump will host leaders from companies like Google, Oracle and Qualcomm to discuss artificial intelligence, the future of 5G cell service and more. One tech company that will not be there is Amazon, a frequent target of President Trump's criticism.
Airbnb is getting into the homebuilding business. The company says its working with a deal of architects and designers to offer pre-fabricated homes. The project, called Backyard, will offer eco-friendly homes that minimize waste. The first prototypes will be released next fall.
Lyft is expanding from four wheels to two. The company says it has complete its purchase of Motivate, the country's largest bike-sharing program. In addition to expanding existing programs, Lyft will also launch a line of bikes and scooters under the Lyft brand, taking on Lime and Uber's Jump bikes.
