<p>A 9-year-old girl who used to live in Weehawken is using lessons from Superstorm Sandy to help in California with the wildfires.</p>

A 9-year-old girl who used to live in Weehawken is using lessons from Superstorm Sandy to help in California with the wildfires.
Gabriela’s family is in California.
Her family trip to Disneyland was canceled, so Gabriela used the money to buy food for first responders and victims of the wildfires.
She says she remembers when her family had to evacuate Harbor Boulevard in Weehawken.
She is now helping those affected in California.
Ironically, Gabriela plays on a youth softball team named the Wildfire.
