‘Creed 2’ star holds advanced screening in Newark

“Creed 2” star Michael B. Jordan held an advanced screening of the movie in his native city of Newark Monday evening.
Jordan reprises his role as Adonis Creed Johnson in the movie chronicling the son of Apollo Creed's rise to stardom. Sylvester Stallone also stars, reprising his role as the iconic Rocky Balboa.
"It feels great, you know.  This is what I've been dreaming about since I was a kid, the fact that it's actually coming true.  It's hard to put into words,” Jordan said.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka also attended the festivities and praised Jordan’s commitment to Newark.
"Just his work ethic alone is enough for us to want to show the kids and the young people in this community that if you just work hard at it, if you just focus on your dreams, you can be able to achieve the things you want to achieve,” Baraka said.
Jordan previously held an advanced screening of his film “Black Panther” in Newark for the city’s children.
“Creed 2” opens in theaters Nov. 21.
