MONTCLAIR -

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office confirms that a Montclair woman was found stabbed to death inside her apartment Monday, marking the town’s third homicide this year.

Details about the death were not immediately made available, but officials say that the woman was killed inside the Union Garden Apartments on Greenwood and Glen Ridge avenues.

The identity of the victim was not released. No arrests have been made.

This is the third homicide in the town since April, when Akirah Townes was stabbed to death outside a Harley Street home. Townes’ ex-boyfriend is accused in the crime.

Last month, Angela Bledsoe was allegedly shot and killed by her boyfriend and father of her child, James Ray III, inside their home. Ray was arrested a few weeks later in Cuba. He is expected to face a judge Tuesday.
