The New Jersey official accusing another Murphy administration staffer of sexual assault will be the first to testify in a special legislative hearing.
NJ.com reports that New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency chief of staff Katie Brennan has accepted an invitation to testify before a special investigative committee hearing.
Brennan has accused former Murphy staffer Albert Alvarez of assaulting her in her apartment after a campaign gathering last year. She says that she attempted to notify Gov. Phil Murphy’s inner circle but it didn’t go anyway.
The special committee will be looking into the handling of the case.
