Bergen County community coping with loss of athletic director

North Jersey is still coping with the loss of a beloved athletic director, but his life continues to be celebrated in Bergen County through tributes among the area's high schools.
Jim Grasso had worked in Bergen County as a history teacher, coach and athletic director for 30 years.
He's described as an achiever and part-comedian, or at least he thought so.
Grasso passed away back in August at 54 years old following a three-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Grasso and his wife, Laura, married for nearly 20 years after meeting while teaching at a middle school in Ridgewood.
It is where they settled and started a family that includes three teenage kids.
Signs are everywhere in Ramsey, where he was an athletic director for eight years.
Grasso's first job was in Ridgewood, where he coached basketball, track and field, and was an assistant for the football team.
He also worked at Paramus Demarest and Ramsey during his career.
