New York Giants backup quarterback Kyle Lauletta is facing some charges after allegedly eluding police in Hudson County.
Weehawken police say that Lauletta was spotted driving his 2017 Jaguar near the Pleasant Avenue approach to Route 495 “in a dangerous manner in heavy traffic,” around 8 a.m.
Police say that an officer directed Lauletta to stay in his lane, but Lauletta allegedly made an illegal turn, striking the officer.
Lauletta was then stopped by another officer, but allegedly refused to provide his driving credentials, according to officials. He was arrested and charged with disorderly persons offenses. He was also issued several motor vehicle violations, including reckless driving.
Police also say that Lauletta was involved in a similar incident in the same location Monday. They say that the traffic summonses were issued by mail because his vehicle was not stopped at the scene.
