ELIZABETH -

Amazon is looking to fill thousands of seasonal jobs in New Jersey.

The company held a job fair in Elizabeth Wednesday in order to fill 9,000 seasonal jobs at the company’s fulfillment centers, sorting centers and last-mile delivery stations across the state.

A wide variety of people showed up at the job fair, including Wyckoff resident Greg Scott, who is looking for some supplemental income. Scott says that he already has a full-time job, but has two young children and a new home.

“Something I can make sure to secure my family and put money aside for the future,” Scott says.

There were also candidates who were recently unemployed and college students looking to make some spending money during holiday breaks.

Amazon says that the jobs are seasonal, but may turn into something permanent.

Amazon is expected to hold another job far in the near future.
