Milford police say they are searching for a suspect who robbed a man at gunpoint at an ATM Monday evening.
The incident happened around 6:40 p.m. at the People's Bank on Broad Street.
According to police, a customer pulled up to the drive-thru ATM when the male suspect holding a gun demanded that he take out the maximum withdrawal of $400.
They describe the suspect as a black male, medium height, thin build, possibly with a mustache, wearing gray pants and a gray hoodie under a black Adidas style hooded jacket.
Police say the victim was not harmed, but was visibly shaken.
"It appeared to be a normal transaction – he pulled up, utilized the one where you can pull up and not have to leave your vehicle," says Milford Police Officer Mike Devito. "As soon as he rolled his window down, he was reaching out to commence the transaction and he said the suspect appeared out of nowhere and demanded the cash and he complied."
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 203-783-4732.
