South Brunswick intersection to be closed until Saturday after crash

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH BRUNSWICK -

Drivers in South Brunswick saw traffic delays Friday after a crash on Route 130 and Route 522 closed the intersection.

According to the South Brunswick Police Department, the intersection will be closed until Saturday.

Police say a truck crashed into a utility pole and a traffic light Thursday night, knocking down poles and wires.

“We're asking everyone to do everything they can to avoid the area and please follow the detours,” says South Brunswick Police Sgt. Gary Holsten.

Traffic is being detoured around the area while PSEG crews work to repair the damage.

Holsten says that he expects the intersection to be open by Saturday morning.
