Police crack down on teens doing bike stunts in traffic

Police in Logan Township are cracking down on teen bicyclists who weave in and out of traffic.
Police wrote in a Facebook post Monday they have received multiple complaints about a trend called "swerving."
According to police, the stunt involves riding into the path of traffic while performing tricks.
Logan police say the practice breaks state laws and is dangerous.
The department says officers will cite juveniles who ride bikes in traffic and contact their parents.
Authorities say large groups often ride together.
Logan Township Police Lt. Joseph Flatley says the trend is a "community safety issue." Flatley says the department wants to stop the stunts before someone is hurt.
AP wire services helped contribute to this report.
