A hit-and-run driver left a teenager fighting for his life, according to Linden police.
Police say the 17-year-old boy was crossing St. George Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Friday when he was struck by the driver who was traveling east.
Police found the car a short distance away but are still looking for the driver. The car in the crash is described as a white Nissan with tinted windows.
The teenager who was struck was treated at the scene by firefighters and EMS before he was transported to Trinitas Hospital. He was then taken to Newark for additional treatment due to the severity of his injuries. He now remains in critical condition.
