Emergency crews were on the scene of an underground electrical fire in Linden Thursday morning.
The fire reportedly started at West Linden Avenue and South Stiles Street around 9 a.m.
Linden police told News 12 New Jersey that a large amount of steam was pouring out from under the manhole cover and businesses reported having flickering lights.
After police and PSEG crews inspected the area, they noticed the electrical fire under South Stiles Street.
PSEG workers were underground repairing any damaged electricity lines.
