Act of kindness gives woman chance meeting with Keith Urban

Posted: Updated:
CAMDEN -

A woman in New Jersey thought she was helping a down-and-out man pay for his gas station food, but ended up footing the bill for country music star Keith Urban.

Urban performed last week in Camden.

Substitute teacher Ruth Reed says she had made a resolution to help Wawa customers and jumped at the chance when the man ahead of her was short a few dollars.

Reed says the man thanked her and said his name was Keith.

She remarked that he looked like Keith Urban, and he said he was, but she didn't believe him.

Reed asked his bodyguard to confirm she was talking to the musician.

She said, "It was then I realized what an idiot I was."
