Toms River retirees make care packages for US troops

TOMS RIVER -

A group of 20 retirees from Toms River is making New Jersey proud by gathering every week to make care packages for U.S. troops stationed overseas.

The group meets every Tuesday night to package food, toiletries and snacks. The members send out 10 boxes per week.

They started the project last November. They say that when word got out that they were taking donations, many others answered the call.

Anyone who would like to donate can email pasrmilitary@yahoo.com.
