Another accident at the West Front Street train trestle Thursday morning has residents calling for something to be done.
Witnesses say they heard a loud boom around 7 a.m. and realized a large piece of construction equipment fell off a trailer. People at the marina, which sits next to the train trestle, say accidents at the site have been a problem for years because people don't pay attention to the signs.
A few days ago, a moving truck got stuck under the train trestle.
Police tell News 12 there are sensors on either side that flash when a truck is too tall to fit.
The mayor of Red Bank says he has brought the issue to Monmouth County officials and to New Jersey Transit because they have jurisdiction over the road and overpass.
