Various roadways experienced flooding, including Route 37 in Toms River, which had to be closed for a time.
A few thousand utility customers were without power for part of the day, but many saw their service restored by late Tuesday night.

Most of the precipitation had moved out of the state by Tuesday night. Conditions are expected to improve for the Wednesday morning commute.
