Wife of slain Bronx man: ‘I want justice’

The wife of a Bronx man spoke to News 12 after her husband was fatally shot Friday in Peekskill.
Joergana Lyons says her husband Khalil Lyons went to an auto body shop to help his friend fix his car, something Khalil was passionate about.
He was then expected to come home to his apartment in the Bronx and take his 2-year-old daughter to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday to eat pizza and blow out candles.
"We lit candles for him and let go of balloons and I told her, ‘you know it's for daddy,’" said Joergana. “My daughter’s birthday will never be the same for us again.”
Police say Lyons was shot in the chest after a dispute that escalated into violence. Authorities have not released any information about the suspect.
"I just want justice,” said Joergana. “I just want to tell him that I really love him. He was my everything.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information to call Peekskill police.
