Beachwood officials receive answers regarding fireworks no-show

Officials in Beachwood finally got some face-to-face answers as to why they didn't have their fireworks on the 4th of July, after already getting reimbursed.
The town had to cancel its shows after the vendor, Rochelle Park-based Fireworks Extravaganza, failed to deliver the fireworks.
The company president met with Beachwood Mayor Martin S. Horwitz this morning.
He says he offered Mayor Horwitz anything he can do to help make up for disappointing 10,000 or so people who never got to see a show.
He also explained how the fireworks never got from Maryland to New Jersey.
The mayor told News 12 off camera his town did get back its over $8,000 deposit.
He, and members of the fireworks council, will now decide how to move forward and if they will choose to use Fireworks Extravaganza in the future.
Fireworks Extravaganza also failed to deliver to Milltown for its fireworks show.
The same apology and offer has been made to that town as well.
