Police: Woman burned, dismembered in Cumberland County

New Jersey State Police are investigating the murder of a 32-year-old Cumberland County woman whose body was found burned and dismembered.

Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Tonya Cook, of Vineland.

Officials say that a passer-by found the remains Monday morning off of Banks Road near Lummistown Road in Lawrence Township.

Cook is said to have ties throughout Cumberland County.

Anyone who may have information about the death is urged to call the state police Port Norris Station at 856-785-0036. Anonymous tips are welcome, according to police.
